New PhD Students - Sebastiaan van Nuffel, Sunil Rajput and Hala Dhowre
Sebastiaan van Nuffel, Sunil Rajput and Hala Dhowre have joined the group to undertake PhD studies supervised by Mischa Zelzer in collaboration with the Neurophotonics lab at The University of Nottingham, led by Noah Russell. Their research will focus on controlling and measuring interactions between neuronal cells and material surfaces. Their projects are funded by The University of Nottingham and the EPSRC.
ISAC Starting Event
Mischa Zelzer organised the ISAC launch meeting which took place on the 25th September to mark the start of the Interface and Surface Analysis Centre (ISAC). ISAC is a centre of excellence that offers services in the analysis of surfaces and interfaces to industrial and academic partners.
It was established in collaboration with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL). The meeting was very successful, bringing together researchers from academia and industry for animated discussions and exchange of ideas.
