New PhD students

Two new PhD students have joined the Zelzer group. Alexandra Schindl who is jointly supervised by Thorsten Allers and Anna Croft will be working on a Synthetic Biology Reserach Centre funded project, combining genetic and protein engineering and particle compartmentalisation to fabricate an 'artificial halophile'. Irene Henning will be working on a project led by Morgan Alexander that aims to study the bacterial response to patterned hydrogel materials. Richard Hague and Paul Williams are also involved in this project.
