As part of British Science Week, Maria, Mike and Anne attended Science in the Park on the 19th March organised by the Nottingham branch of the British Science Association.The science fair was held at Wollaton Hall, which is also well known as the setting for Wayne manor in the Dark Knight Rises, set in the beautiful grounds of Wollaton Park. Maria prepared creams to introduce children to pharmacy practice and to introduce the field of regenerative medicine; Mike prepared polymer gels and Anne helped the children to look at their own cells under a microscope.
The event was a huge success with children and parents engaging and asking scientific questions, putting the volunteers to the test!
Thousands of people of different ages, including families, community groups and students, with a record breaking 7600 visitors!
